25 三月 2026 Paulo Lacão appointed to the Board of Fórum Penal for the 2026–2027 term

Following the General Assembly of Fórum Penal – Associação de Advogados Penalistas, held on 17 March, Paulo Lacão, Senior Consultant at Melo Alves, was elected Member of the Board for the 2026–2027 term.

Paulo Lacão joined Melo Alves in 2023 and focuses his practice on privacy and personal data protection, criminal and administrative offence litigation, compliance, and internal investigations.

The election of the new governing bodies of Fórum Penal marks the beginning of a new cycle for the association, highlighted by the presentation of an activity plan focused on legislative policy, sectoral regulation, and the monitoring of the prison system.

This plan also includes a strong focus on training and the promotion of discussion forums, contributing to the development and recognition of criminal law practice in Portugal.
